We are excited to announce that our 2023 Annual Conference will be held October 12 - 14, 2023 in the beautiful Columbus, OH. This year our conference will be held again in-person with virtual on-demand options.

Standing has the state capitol, Columbus known as the Arch City is celebrated for its string of parks on both sides of the Scioto River, huge interactive fountain and trails, innovative arts scene and booming tech industry.

A quote from Margaret Goldberg, a literacy coach at Nystrom Elementary in West Contra Costa, sums up the key points: “We can seize this opportunity to get really effective instruction in place…if we can allow teachers to have access to the information they need about how the human brain develops, how learning is best accelerated by explicit teaching, then teachers can be responsive to the tactic that will get the most kids, the furthers, the fastest.” The report also provides a useful glossary of terms such as phonicsscience of reading, and structured literacy.
