IEA Announces Pilot Mentorship Program

IEA ANNOUNCES PILOT MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

Dear IEA Member,

2020-2021 have been very challenging years. Here at the IEA, we have been working to provide new programs and initiatives that will move the IEA forward and add value to all of our members. We seek to be responsive to and aligned with the constantly evolving needs of our global Enneagram community.

Some of the challenges that have emerged are the need to create more alignment with and access to the marginalized communities, such as, communities of color, age diversity, 2SLGBTQIA+, and language access (to name only a few).

Balancing the polarities between the newer Enneagram enthusiasts, digital influencers, seasoned accredited professionals and diverse representation across the field of Enneagram practitioners has surfaced as a priority that we are preparing to address.

Commencing February 2022, it is our intent to launch a pilot mentorship program aligned with our developing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) efforts. Our goal is to create more open and affordable access for IEA members (mentees) who are members of marginalized communities. Our DEI efforts are designed to work with IEA Accredited Professionals who are willing to volunteer to mentor individuals who would like to increase their Enneagram knowledge, awareness, and skills.

This pilot mentorship program will begin with 10 mentors and 10 mentees that will have 6 sessions over 6 months together. Each participant is required to commit to attending a 1-hour onboarding Zoom webinar on February 15th, 2022, a 1-hour halfway check-in Zoom meeting on June 7th, 2022 and to complete a survey at the end of the program in September 2022.
