Welcome to the first official newsletter of the 2018-2019 IEA Season!
Horse shows officially kicked-off this month across the nation as thousands of members begin the competition season.
We are always excited to see new teams join the IEA and are pleased with the growth of new members within our Dressage Program
. Membership season is a busy and exciting time for IEA and we are so pleased to have you with us.
The above moving graphic is one part of our membership campaign which has been running on our social media platforms for several months now and is approaching more than 60,000 views. We hope you have seen it, shared it, and will continue to spread the word of IEA to equestrians in your area. For the most up to date news, be sure to follow us on all our social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) at #rideiea and #IEADressage.
Since the end of the 2017-2018 season, we have been busy hiring new personnel, securing new sponsors and partners, creating new and expanded programs, sending out lots of press releases, organizing, planning, training and much more.

Online Auction - Request for Donations
|
|
IEA will be hosting our 3rd annual Online Auction on
November 15-18, 2018
and we are soliciting for items to place in the auction.
Our goal is to have a minimum of 50 items ranging in value from $100 - $1000+. Donations can include things such as lesson packages, clothing items, equine art, jewelry, travel packages, gift baskets, horse supplies, services, event tickets - anything you think would make a great gift.
Proceeds from the Online Auction benefit the
IEA Benevolent Fund
- assisting riders and coaches in financial need.

We want to make sure you have a member banner to hang in your stall, seating, or vendor area to show your IEA pride! Use it as a conversation starter to talk about your team and recruit new members.
Once you have an IEA banner, be sure to take a photo of your team with your banner hanging up during your horse show and post it to
#IEABannerContest.
Each month, beginning in November, we will select a photo to win a prize for your entire team!

IEA Riders, Coaches and Parents Now Receive a FREE US Equestrian Fan Membership!
|
|
|
IEA Members should have received an email recently explaining the many benefits and perks of being a US EQUESTRIAN member and how to activate your FREE Fan Membership.
IEA is pleased to continue our partnership with US Equestrian and grateful for their support.
|
|
Horsemanship Program Open Year-Round for Jr. Contributing Members and Riders in Grades 4-12
|
|
Jr Contributing Members in Grades 4 – 12 and Rider Members are eligible to participate in the IEA's program that emphasizes horsemanship skills and knowledge.
Members who participate in the program will complete nine quizzes on a variety of topics. Each quiz will be available the first of each month, October through May. When a participant signs up through the
IEA Horsemanship Page
they will receive an email with all quizzes for months that they may have missed.

|
On June 1st each participant will receive a Final Quiz. Participants who complete all nine quizzes and receive 75% or better on the Final Quiz will receive commemorative shirt, as well as a certificate of completion.
|
|

ZONE 9 opened in 2016-17 with just 53 members and grew to 131 in 2017-18 and continues to expand rapidly this season!
