MAY NEWSLETTER

Hello IEC Members,

It’s hard to believe the school year is already coming to a close! As we wrap up another productive year, we’d like to remind you of two important upcoming events - and we’d love for you to join us in supporting the next generation of electrical professionals.

Meet the Contractor- Hiring Event

Thursday, May 8

11:15 AM – 12:30 PM

IEC of Kentuckiana

Come meet the first graduates of the IEC Pre-Apprenticeship Program! Over the past six weeks, JCPS Electrical Pathway students from six local high schools have received hands-on training from IEC instructors. These motivated students are now ready to take their next steps into the electrical industry.

This is also a great opportunity to connect with workforce-ready talent for your company.

For questions, contact Stephen at stephen@iec-kyin.com.

Annual Wire-Off

Saturday, May 17

8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

IEC of Kentuckiana

Join us for the Annual Wire-Off competition, where IEC apprentices will demonstrate their skills in a hands-on, high-energy challenge. Stick around afterward for a complimentary lunch and vendor expo. It’s a great way to support your apprentices and engage with the IEC community.

We hope to see you at both events as we celebrate student achievement and the future of our industry.

P.S. Don’t forget to save the date for Graduation on Wednesday, June 4th-more details coming soon!

Best regards,

Kenny and Kent

ENROLLMENT IS OPEN!

The IEC Apprentice Program is highly effective because it combines in-depth theoretical instruction with hands-on application in a lab setting, ensuring students not only learn the concepts but also know how to apply them in real-world situations.

Throughout the program, apprentices benefit from personal attention and support from both their instructors and peers, creating a collaborative and encouraging learning environment. Our instructors are seasoned experts in the electrical field, bringing industry experience directly into the classroom.

Student feedback consistently highlights how the IEC experience has sharpened their skills and prepared them for career advancement, thanks to the comprehensive knowledge and practical training they received.

I look forward to welcoming the 2025-2026 apprentices!
