As we wake up to a rapidly changing “new normal” every day, we want to assure you that IEC Fort Worth/Tarrant County is still a steady constant. Our IEC community has proven time and time again we will weather this storm by supporting each other.
I pray that all of our IEC Fort Worth contractor members, associate members, staff, instructors, and support companies all work together thru the near future as the panic and fear subside and COVID-19 passes on and becomes a bad memory.
While all of us are having to make tough decisions in response to the COVID-19 threat, the IEC Fort Worth/Tarrant County board, A & T committee, and staff stands with our members, apprentices, volunteers, and industry partners. We are here when or if you need us.
Our staff is working from home and the office is closed for drop-ins. However, the staff is working hard to keep your services going with no break in service. Please call or email them if you need help or have questions.
Apprenticeship training will be delivered through virtual training until further mandates from the President, Governor, and Mayor allowing in-person meetings. We will keep you and apprentices updated. So far this concept is working and we are on track to complete classes on the previously set schedule.
As you are aware, the board of directors has made the decision to waive dues payments for the month of April. This is dues only; if you have apprentices you will need to continue to pay the full tuition portion for their education. Please continue to submit dues forms with zero amounts in Section A, even if you do not have apprentices.
Due to the uncertain times, many of our chapter events have been postponed. Please know these will be rescheduled as soon as the government allows. Please keep checking our website for updates.
We know the amount of information you are receiving can be overwhelming but we wanted to include some links so can continue to find help and resources in our community.

If you have not read the updates Marcie and her staff are sending out please take a minute to do so. They have included some local as well as national rule interpretations that I found to enlighten my understanding of the rules as they change daily. Sometimes they are changing by the minute.
Be safe, stay healthy, wash your hands, and stay IEC strong. We will get thru this and prosper again soon.
God Bless Y’all
