It is hard to believe we are at the end of our season. This is a busy weekend as we prepare for the Last Championship meet in Santa Barbara on Saturday and our Team Awards Picnic on Sunday! For those of you going to the meet, there are many parking lots, but the one near the track at the bottom will require you pay a fee, the ones at the top of the stadium are free. There may not be any food venders, so please bring plenty of food and drinks to enjoy the great day of racing!! Also if you want to see the Famous Coaches relay, stay to the end!! We only need help at the finish line this week!! It is a great place to be to cheer on the team, please sign up!!

For the picnic you will want to bring chairs, blanket, and shade as there is not a lot of shade at the park!

There is a basketball court and a play area, and plenty of grass to play games! Bring anything you would like to play, or just have fun visiting with our Storm Family!

If you want to have water balloons, or squirt guns please bring them already filled or extras water to fill them as we can not use the bathrooms to fill them

We will celebrate all the athletes and Coaches this Sunday at our team awards picnic at West Creek Park starting at 12:00. Please use the link to sign up! All athletes will receive a trophy and many will have special awards.

POST SEASON - For the athletes that qualified for the IEC meet we offer post USATF National competition opportunity to join the Valley United Track team. This is a travel team comprised of all the top VYC athletes to compete on the National level. They are very strong and become one team from the Conference. The practices are mostly in The San Fernando Valley TBA.There are additional cost and uniforms involved. This is not a Storm event but we strongly support the team and any of our top athletes that want to join it. The first practice will be May 20th 5:45. This will be a parent meeting and introduction to the team and events going forward. There is travel involved also. There will be 3 simi-local meets and one Regional meet in Las Vegas and the National Jr. Olympics will be in Savannah Georgia Here is the preliminary meet schedule and date.

Registration is open on the Valley United website. Athletes will need to get a USATF card Pleae attend the parent meeting for more information This is a very big commitment for the summer, but it is an awesome experience for the athletes that make it to Nationals. STORM End of Season Awards Picnic

We are looking forward to celebrating the end of an amazing track & field season with our STORM athletes and families! We will be at West Creek Park starting at 12:00. Lunch will be served at 12:30, and awards will be presented at about 1:30. The address is 24247 Village Circle, 91354 Please see the sign up link for items to bring and volunteer needs. Food Assignments Pot Luck Style :

Everyone needs to help out by bringing extra food, rule of thumb, bring enough for twice your family. Bring 2 items. 

Sub-Gremlins, Gremlins: Drinks 2-12 pack or 4-6 pack (1 case) any type of soda, juice boxes, water. NO TWO LITER BOTTLES!! Please put in an ice chest with ice. please make sure there is enough for everyone to have at least 2 drinks each.

Bantams & Midgets: Side Dishes – Salads, potato salad, coleslaw, fruit, baked beans, chips & dips, veggies, snack items, etc. PLEASE REMEMBER A SERVING SPOON Bring at least enough for your family and 12 other people. Please makes sure all items are pre-cut and ready to serve 

Youths, Intermediate : Dessert for 12 – PLEASE precut or sliced finger desserts would be great. I.E. Cookies, brownies, etc.

***Game suggestions are also welcome!!!
