Improving service to conference organizers is at
the core
of everything we
do in IEEE Meetings, Conferences, & Events (MCE). Our overall approach is to optimize operations, grow scholarly conferences and support innovation.
The MCE team consists of over 65 professionals dedicated to sponsorship, financial support, logistics, conference proceedings and other intellectual property from conferences, and more.
We have undergone a transformation both organizationally and culturally, all with an eye towards better service. This has enabled us to absorb tremendous growth while keeping down expenses.
Some key benefits for organizers and sponsors include:
- Improved customer experience
- Single point of contact for questions
- Improved financial transparency
- A preferred partnership program
- Scalable, low-cost registration offerings
- Improved timeliness to publish
- Improved quality of intellectual property
- A streamlined Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) process
- Introduction of:
- The conference mentor program
- The assistant treasurer program
- The conference organizer education program
- The audience development program
You may have read about many of these individual initiatives before; however, it is helpful to share that each of these efforts is part of an overall strategy to improve, to innovate and to make the experience easier for the conference organizers.
Our most recent effort, the
new MCE website went live, in direct feedback from surveys that prioritized this need.
We continue to ask what can we do next? If you have suggestions, we would love to hear from you.
