VRM and Combinatory Analog Operations for Future Reconfigurable Sensing
This article presents a topological receiver architecture, named "Virtual Receiver Matrix" (VRM), suitable for future smart multifunction wireless systems. This concept benefits from “floating” spatially distributed virtual receiver channels and offers an unprecedented solution of integrating multiple functions.

Thinned Array Synthesis in Hyperthermia Treatment Planning of Phased Array
Genetic algorithm-based array thinning technique is investigated in this paper to study the performance of an 18-element 434 MHz phased array breast applicator when driven by a reduced number of antennas (9-12). Phased array excitation of 12 antennas was chosen as the optimal subset as it provided selective tumor heating.
Medium Power Amplifier Covers 2 to 65 GHz
Mini-Circuits’ new ZVA-02653G+ coaxial amplifier achieves 21 dB gain with ±3.0 dB flatness and +18 dBm PSAT from 2 to 65 GHz, ideal for RF port extension, as an LO driver amplifier and more.

Hybrid-Packaged T-Comp. Phased-Array Receiver and Integrated Antenna Array
This article presents an eight-channel 1.9-dB noise figure K-band phased-array receiver for satellite communication. It employs the hybrid-packaged 65-nm CMOS beamformer and 0.1-μ m GaAs low-noise amplifiers based on the fan-out wafer-level chip-scale packaging technology.

A 5–6-GHz CMOS Beamforming Transceiver Front-End for Fiber-to-the-Room All-Optical Wi-Fi Solution
A 5–6-GHz CMOS beamforming transceiver front-end with high linearity and low power consumption for fiber-to-the-room (FTTR) all-optical Wi-Fi solution is presented, which can greatly reduce the transmission power and eliminate signal mutual interference. The transmitter employs a high-linearity PA, a VGA, a 5-bit attenuator, and a 4-bit phase shifter.

Flexible and Shape-Changing Arrays
In this paper, the technology developments which have enabled the creation and use of shape-changing arrays are described. The theoretical implications of aperture change (folding, conforming, and flexing) for arrays and methods for taking advantage of these aperture changes are presented.

IEEE Radio and Wireless Week 2023 | Jan 20-25, 2023
