Mental Health Workshop for Women of Color
|
|
May is Mental Health Month, and to recognize the importance of mental health in our community and celebrate Juneteenth, IEYF is hosting a Mental Health & Wellness Workshop for Women of Color. The workshop will be held on June 11, 2022, from 10:00 a.m.- to 2:00 p.m.
The event will consist of a community-based forum dedicated to mental health and wellness for women of color.
African American women and girls face unique and specific barriers to mental health. The Black community constantly deals with generational pain, suffering, and frustration. As we are not looked upon as people who need mental health services, it is the responsibility of our community to assist and provide the necessary resources to help heal ourselves.
The Mental Health & Wellness Workshop for Women of Color will equip women and girls with culturally specific mental health resources through an interactive therapeutic session, yoga, networking, and much more. We will also have food and two raffle baskets.
The event is FREE, and although the event is specific to African-American women, daughters, and all community members are welcome, including African-American males. Don't miss out on this fantastic event! Mark your calendars and register today!

"Research shows that students who are able to participate in a financial, economic education class in high school make better decisions about their college financing," said Nan Morrison, President, and CEO of the Council of Economic Education.
Your generous donation will support IEYF students by providing them with the necessary skills to achieve financial freedom through its Behavioral Finance and Lifestyle summer enrichment camp.
IEYF's summer camp will help students gain knowledge and expertise with money management, etiquette, and life skills to build stronger families, progressive neighborhoods, and thriving communities.
Please join us in encouraging economic empowerment and donate today - your support matters. Thank you.
