Happy New Year!
We have a lot of great things coming up this year! We successfully completed our first Board of Directors and Council of Presidents meetings in January and have outlined some goals to enhance our Association this coming year.
| |
Our Director of Global Relations, Judith Clark Janofsky, FIFDA has been working with past New York Chapter President, Maureen Klein, to expand our Global Presence and plan to kick off our first Global Event in March. In addition to the Global Event, our Chapters have great programming lined up (currently listed on our website) and we encourage our members to attend.
IFDA will again be attending High Point Market and is in the process of coordinating a dinner for Saturday night. We are also going to be attendance of the Inspired Home Show in Chicago in March in conjunction with a Designer Dinner.
There are a lot of exciting things coming up this year, so keep an eye out for our event calendar on the website. Our goal is to enhance membership perks, Industry Partnerships and offer exciting Programming for 2024.
Stay tuned,
Larissa Cook
IFDA President

Saturday, January 20th the Philadelphia Chapter had a great day today volunteering at Marvin’s Home. Included in the photos are a few treasures they found organizing the donations for things Mel McDaniel, owner of Marvin's Home is going to try and post on Instagram to sell to raise money to furnish apartments for kids, who have aged out of the foster system. These young adults are given a very small apartment with no furniture.Mel goes in and puts rugs, small pieces of furniture, side tables, and lamps, and furnishes these apartments, at no cost. This is the first time many of these kids have owned anything and having a safe and furnished apartment to call their very own home will give them an important step in becoming successful. | |
