RICHMOND CHAPTER

VIRTUAL CHAPTER

By Judith Clark Janofsky, FIFDA

As President of the Virtual Chapter for 2025, it has been my pleasure to put together some great Zoom programs for the new year. These programs will be both educational and entertaining! All IFDA members will be welcome to join!

Before getting along with 2025, let me mention that last November we had a fabulous Zoom meeting. Michael Maszaros from our Richmond Chapter gave an incredibly wonderful presentation about the fall High Point Market. He explained to our 40 Zoom attendees HPM etiquette, means of travel around the market, new trends and loads of market photos. I wish you could have all been there! If you didn’t make market, this was a great way to view market from your arm chair. We hope to have Michael return for the next few markets. Stay connected to see when Michael will return for us.

Now here we are in 2025. We have quite a year for our members. On January 27th @ noon EST, we will have a Zoom meeting called, “Designed to Disappear.”  This course will introduce the builder, designer, or architect to the benefits of hiding technology into the design and architecture of a project. The course will begin by defining the luxury experience in residential design. It will then dive deeper into audio and lighting as elements that influence the luxury experience. Finally, the course will present solutions for hiding these and other technologies in design and architecture. This course will be presented by Kyra Winsky, our member from the Philadelphia Chapter. She works for Hill Residential Systems. I can’t wait to hear what she has in store.

We have a lot more in store for the Virtual Chapter through the year. We should have a different and exciting Zoom program every month. Bring your coffee or beverage of choice and join us.
