IFSP-Funding Application Schedule

October 15th at 9:00 a.m.

Last day to submit your application:

November 13th at 11:59 p.m.

Virtual Training Sessions for Individuals and Families

To help individuals and families understand how to apply for funding, the IFSP staff will offer virtual training sessions using Teams (separate training sessions will be held for support coordinators and case managers). These trainings will include a demonstration of how to navigate the IFSP-Funding Portal in WaMS and complete an application. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions from the IFSP staff at the end of the training.

Spaces are limited, so please save your spot and register at the links below. You only need to register for one session!

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information with links for joining the meeting.

Can't make it? This training session will be recorded and posted to the My Life, My Community website.

⚠️ IMPORTANT ⚠️

The application portal will be open for one month. Determinations no longer follow the previously established first-come, first-served approval process so please take your time to apply! For more details on the Funding process and criteria, please review our Program Guidelines at https://mylifemycommunityvirginia.org/ifsp-funding.

Before you begin, here are a few reminders:

  • To be eligible to apply, all applicants must be on the Developmental Disability Waiver Waiting List and be living in their own home, or in their family's home.
  • ALL applicants in priorities 1, 2, and 3 will be able to apply at the same time. You will NOT need to know your priority status in order to apply.
  • Please refer to the Program Guidelines for more information on how funding determinations are made.
  • Applicants with a priority 1 waitlist status may apply for up to $1,000. Applicants with a priority 2 or priority 3 waitlist status may apply for up to $500.
  • IMPORTANT: We are approaching the expiration date for funds that were issued as of December 2023! IFSP-Funding recipients must activate, utilize, and/or withdraw the funds from their Way2Go debit cards. Failure to activate these cards and withdraw the funds may impact an applicant's eligibility for future funds. To activate a card, please call Conduent's automated customer service toll-free number at 800-961-8423, or call the My Life, My Community toll-free helpline at 844-603-9248.

To access the application, please go to https://www.dbhds.virginia.gov/ifsponline.

The IFSP wants your feedback!

Each year, the IFSP asks individuals on the Waitlist and their families for input. Your answers will help us improve the quality of our programs (including IFSP-Funding) and tell us what's important to you. Please consider participating in our Annual Satisfaction Survey!

The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete. It will be open until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, October 11th.

You can access the survey by using your mobile device to scan this QR code, or by visiting https://tiny.cc/ifsp-annualsurvey-fy24. Thank you!
