Virtual Training Session
To assist individuals and families with completing funding applications, IFSP staff will offer a virtual training session using ZoomGov (IFSP will hold separate training sessions for support coordinators and case managers). This training will provide a demonstration of how to access and navigate the new IFSP-Funding Portal in WaMS, and provide an opportunity to submit questions to the IFSP staff. Register at the link below:

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information with links for joining the meeting.

Can't make it? This training session will be recorded and posted to the My Life, My Community website.
⚠️ IMPORTANT ⚠️
There will be no save-a-draft period for this funding cycle. This year, the application portal will be open for one month. This allows IFSP to move away from the previously established first-come, first-served approval process. For more details on the new Funding process and criteria, please review our Program Guidelines at https://tinyurl.com/mlmc-funding.
Before you begin, here are a few reminders:

  • An individual must be on the Developmental Disability Waiver Waiting List and identified correctly in the Virginia Waiver Management System (WaMS). They must also be living in their own home, or in their family's home.
  • You will not be able to submit your application(s) until the date listed in the section above. Again, this date is determined by your waitlist priority status. If you do not know your priority status, please contact your CSB and/or support coordinator.
To access the application, please go to https://www.dbhds.virginia.gov/waitlistforms.
We have developed several resources to help you apply successfully for IFSP Funding! Be sure to check back on My Life, My Community's IFSP-Funding page to find our upcoming Program Guidelines, FAQs, the step-by-step Portal User Guide, online training video, and more.
For general assistance navigating the online application, please contact our toll-free My Life, My Community helpline (operated by SeniorNavigator) by phone at (844) 603-9248.

These operators are trained to assist IFSP-Funding applicants. They can also connect you with IFSP staff as needed.
IFSP Needs Your Feedback!
IFSP's Annual Satisfaction Survey helps us learn more about the individuals and families on the waitlist, including those who have applied for IFSP-Funding. This survey should be completed by or on behalf of individuals who are currently on the waitlist. We also want to hear from individuals who applied for IFSP-Funding prior to October 5, 2021.
The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete. Again, your input will help us better assist you and your family.

The survey will be open until Tuesday, January 31st. You can access the survey by clicking on the image here, or by visiting https://tinyurl.com/IFSPAnnualSurveyFY22. Thank you!
