A Message from the Master of Science in Global Health Director
Dear Alumni,
I want to start by welcoming our newest alumni from 2020 and 2021 to the IGHS alumni community! We are a community with over 400 master’s alumni, and now, three PhD alumni. This September, we welcomed 35 new master’s students and four new PhD students, and are so excited for the year ahead.
I can only imagine the different experiences and challenges that each of you has faced since the start of the pandemic. I am hoping that you and your loved ones are healthy. I want to share with each of you one thing that has kept me going through the incredible challenges of the pandemic, the political environment, and ongoing racism, has been our alumni and student community. Each of us remains deeply committed to health equity and health justice, and knowing that we are working towards the same goal brings me deep solace during this time.
We love to hear updates from you and ask that you share your successes, challenges, and life events with us. We miss each of you and send you wishes for ongoing health and strength.
Madhavi Dandu, MD, MPH
