FEBRUARY 2022
Animated by the IHM Charism of Love, Creative Hope & Fidelity ..... Embracing the Mission

Dear Friend,
We have heard a lot these several months of COVID about super spreaders. It's not a good thing for sure! However, I invite you to embrace the concept in a new way! What if you and I decided to make hope highly contagious instead of the anxiety, doubt, fear, negativity and so many cancel culture behaviors that at times overwhelm us and cause our spirits and energy levels to languish? Challenge accepted? Never underestimate your power of one! Like Nike says, "Just do it!"

Asking our God of Boundless Love to embrace your mind and heart with every good gift to be a daily hope super spreader, sincerely,
Sister Stephen Anne IHM

Promoting Stewardship

An IHM Sister, first by her own example, promotes in those in her ministry a responsibility for Christian stewardship, a respect for God's creation and the reverent use of the resources that sustain it. She encourages each one to share the goods of the earth in order that all may live in dignity and peace. (#51. Faithful Servant)
As IHM Sisters we invite you to join with us to lovingly explore and affirm new ways to reach out beyond our comfort zones to embrace and revitalize the created world – all people, plants, animals, land, water, and air.

We also invite you to draw on an abundance of creative hope to see these vibrant challenges realistically and pursue the tangible vision of a radically restored earth.
IHM VIRTUE of the MONTH: HOPE
Don't be optimistic, be hopeful! Pope Francis shares this thought: It's best to not confuse optimism with hope. Optimism is a psychological attitude toward life. Hope goes further. It is an anchor that one hurls toward the future, it's what lets you pull on the line and reach what you're aiming for and head in the right direction. Hope is also theological: God is there, too.
LEADERSHIP CONNECTION
Leaders Let Others Know They Have Your Back!
In Catholic education, each of us is called to be a leader, no matter our role! Letting someone know you have their back can be such a powerful grace! Be a back-watcher!

Catholic Social Teaching
Dignity of the Human Person
The Catholic Church proclaims that human life is sacred and that the dignity of the human person is the foundation of a moral vision for society. This belief is the foundation of all the principles of our social teaching.

World Day For Consecrated Life
February 2, 2022
Please pray for all those who have made commitments in the consecrated life, and be sure to thank them on their special day. May they continue to be inspired by Jesus Christ and respond generously to God's gift of their vocation. Could God be calling you to consider a religious vocation to serve God's people?
