JANUARY 2022
Animated by the IHM Charism of Love, Creative Hope & Fidelity..... Embracing the Mission

Dear Friend,

New Year 2022 blessings!
As we leave the celebration of Christmas, we may think the message of Jesus' entering human history is tucked away for another year! NOT! Epiphany calls us to embrace Jesus' coming into the world again and again! It's a standing invitation! Edward P. Hahnenberg states: "Every yes to God's call is an incarnation of Jesus Christ. He "takes on flesh"(in carne) in our lives of love and service".

The IHM Sisters, their colleagues and those they serve are invited to embrace daily opportunities to let Jesus Christ enter the world again and again through living the IHM Charism graces of love, creative hope and fidelity. This is our invitation to move forward even as we continue to experience the challenges of our still-not-back-to-normal. Perhaps the poetic words of Amanda Gorman in "New Day's Lyric" can bring courage:
Tethered by this year of yearning,
We are learning
That though we weren’t ready for this,
We have been readied by it.
Steadily we vow that no matter
How we are weighed down,
We must always pave a way forward.

This hope is our door, our portal.
Even if we never get back to normal,
Someday we can venture beyond it,
To leave the known and take the first steps.

Asking God to bless you in 2022 with the good health, inner joy and every day graces needed to let Jesus take flesh in your life as you pave a way forward!
