Have you heard about ChatGPT yet? This is a form of AI (Artificial Intelligence). It's a language model AI designed to produce human-like conversations! While this may have some benefits attached, it stands in stark contrast to the richness of true human encounter such as we find in the Visitation scene - that powerful human connection between Mary and Elizabeth.
Such encounters enrich and sustain us throughout our lives! Our world needs a strengthening of encounter and as Catholic educators we are called to be cultivators of encounter. In the words of Pope Francis: “If I do not look, — seeing is not enough, no: look — if I do not stop, if I do not look, if I do not touch, if I do not speak, I cannot create an encounter and I cannot help to create a culture of encounter”.

May you be ever convinced of the power of encounter and resist the temptation of indifference as you go about your daily life!

Mary, Comfort of Migrants
The IHM Sisters have devotion to the Blessed Mother as we honor her essence in the very title of our Congregation - Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary! We pray the Rosary as a traditional devotion to ask Mary, so close to God, to intercede for all our needs!
It is timely that Pope Francis has added the title, Mary, Comfort of Migrants to The Litany of Our Blessed Mother!

St. Alphonsus Liguori , a spiritual patron of the IHM Sisters, had a deep devotion to our Blessed Mother and even wrote a book about her entitled The Glories of Mary!
The Glories of Mary is the greatest compendium of nearly eighteen centuries of teaching on Our Lady and seeks to lead many souls to a greater love of Jesus through a more intimate knowledge of Mary and her unique role in our salvation.
LOVE ONE ANOTHER! Like Nike says,
