Dear Friend,
As I began this letter for our May edition, I found it hard to fathom that the end of the school year is so near.
I hope this message finds you encouraged as you engage your students and recognize how each one has grown in every area. Rejoice in your essential work of guiding and inspiring your students each day.
In these times when our world faces so many challenges, we are reminded of the power of prayer to bring comfort, unity, and hope. I would like to invite you to join together in praying the Rosary for peace — peace in our hearts, in our classrooms, in our communities, and peace across the world.
The Rosary is a beautiful tradition in which we reflect on the life of Christ through the eyes of His Blessed Mother, Mary. As we pray, especially during this month of May, we entrust our intentions to her loving intercession, asking that she guide us toward compassion, understanding, and reconciliation.
Whether prayed individually or as a group, this devotion can be a source of strength and encouragement for us as educators. It can also be a meaningful way to model faith and hope for our students, showing them that peace begins with prayer and is nurtured through our daily actions.
I encourage you to take a few moments each day — perhaps during a quiet break — to offer a decade or the full Rosary for this intention. Together, our prayers can form a chain of light and love that reaches far beyond our school walls.
Thank you for your dedication, your example, and your willingness to join in this prayer for peace. May God bless you abundantly and grant our world the peace it so deeply needs.
Blessings,
Sister Mary Sue IHM
