Creative Hope & Fidelity ..... Embracing the Mission

Dear Friend,

For 175 years, the IHM Sisters have been inspired to serve with the zeal of Father Louis Gillet, a Redemptorist, the courage of Mother Theresa Maxis, our founding IHM, with our other first Sisters, and the passion for mission of our spiritual father, St. Alphonsus Liguori! In these present challenging times we continue to find ways to be noble influencers as joyful bearers of God's redeeming love in each of our ministries alongside our lay colleagues on behalf of all God's people!

Right after the infamous attack on Pearl Harbor, Mother Francina, General Superior of the IHM Sisters (1904-1944), challenged the Sisters: "True nobility survives danger; true nobility recognizes its obligations; true nobility does not shrink from responsibilities and does not think of self." Armed with grace and grit, we are called to that same nobility for our times!

With praise, love and thanksgiving in the IHM Tradition, asking God to grace you with renewed zeal and confidence to be a noble influencer who shares God's redeeming love,
Sister Stephen Anne IHM
Please join us in offering praise, love and thanksgiving to our God of Boundless Love, as we celebrate the 175th anniversary of our founding!
Enjoy the story!
