Squeaky Clean!

Our second graders had their reconciliation retreat on Wednesday to prepare their hearts for their first reconciliation. On Thursday, 21 IHM second graders made their first reconciliation, as did the rest of the student body. The smiles of pure joy as each little soul took on the squeaky clean nature of baptism.

#GivingTuesday

Attention IHM Ladies!

As a reminder, per the Student Handbook, "Girls may wear nail polish that is one color, on all nails, and without embellishments." Embellishments include artificial nails, tips, gels, acrylics, jewels and are NOT allowed. We are working on updating the handbook to be more clear. More and more girls are coming to school with fake nails, different colored polishes etc. Please make sure you stick with one color on your natural nails. Uniform violations will result in consequences.

IHM Alumni Shining Bright!

We always love to hear when our alumni acheive great things. We are so proud to announce four former IHMers who attend West Catholic made the honor roll this first quarter. We also had 18 former students that attend Catholic Central inducted into National Honor Society this week. Here at IHM we don't only prepare our kiddos academically, but we prepare them to be disciples to go out into the world and shine their light. We are so proud! Disciples first and then diplomas!

From the Principal's Desk

Hello IHM Families!

It's been a wonderful week! The sunshine has been nice and the kids received the Holy Sacrament of Reconciliation. What a blessing! Our virtue this week is Gratitude and at the end of the day announcements Thursday we talked about how grateful we should be for God's grace, love and forgiveness! Father's homily on Wednesday was all about gratitude for the gift of that Sacrament and he did a wonderful job connecting reconciliation with the virtue of gratitude. He didn't even know that was our focus this week. It is the time of year to focus on gratitude!

I'm grateful for the Home and School adding to the online raffle a "Fund-A-Need" for new computers for the front office. They just haven't been on the radar as a need until recently. It's crazy how fast technology becomes "old." We are so grateful for all the donations so that all the ladies working so hard in the office can do their jobs without having to wait. So thank you for your participation in the raffle and your support of Home and School, and, in turn, the students of IHM.

Blessings,

Mrs. Holly Lake
