Everything Has a Voice

Everything has a voice -

The wind shouts loud and clear

"Sing praise to our Creator!"

For all the world to hear.

"Praise God!" roars the might ocean;

"Praise God!" murmurs the stream;

"Praise God!" from the depths of the deep, blue lake

Comes the sound like a lyrical dream.

And the trees in the night wind swaying

Raise their leafy arms on high;

"Praise God!" blending sound and gesture

They greet the clouds passing by.

The fragrant woodland flowers

Proclaim from day to day

The essence of their message.

"Praise God!" they seem to say.

"Praise God!" sing the stars all a-twinkle

"Praise God!" the planets glow

"Praise God!" all creation rejoices

As eons come and go.

Everyone has a song--

Let it ring out loud and clear

Til it quickens the earth with a holy mirth

Spreading Hope from sphere to sphere.
