Divine Mercy
By Sister Joyce C. Bell
He is risen!
All creation blushed;
trees blossomed full their vibrant colors
birds in full throat trilled poems of love.
Creation caught it;
one eternal instant welled up in mercy overflowing
washing clean earth's winter stain.
Can we catch it too
and reclaim our blush of innocence?

Let the Divine Mercy Chaplet talk to, through you
When I began seriously discerning a religious vocation, I started to attend daily Mass. One day, I noticed in the pew that someone had left a pamphlet for me on the Divine Mercy Chaplet. I remember thinking, “I don’t want it. I have enough devotions to do.” So, I left the pamphlet in the pew pretending I didn’t see it and thought that was the end of it. I was wrong.
I worked for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, and one of my bosses who was a priest wished me a happy Divine Mercy weekend when I left that Friday afternoon. That weekend, I went to a discernment retreat at the motherhouse of the IHM Sisters. Guess what the theme was? You got it – Divine Mercy. …

| Read all about the Congregation's devotion to the Blessed Mother as we honor Mary during the month of May. Learn about how a devotion to Mary is also the pathway to a deeper relationship with the Holy Spirit. | | | |
As we witness the signs of spring that signal the Creator once again “making all things new” (Rev. 21:5), let us use what we have learned about threats to the planet to motivate ourselves and others to reverence the gifts of the earth anew.
In this Jubilee year of 2025, let us go forth as Pilgrims of Hope to do what each generation is called to do: renew its relationship to the natural world.
