I THIRST

"I THIRST." These words He spoke

While hanging on a tree.

These words of long ago will ring

Through all eternity.

"You thirst?" I ask in reverent awe,

"You, my Lord and God?

Was Yours a thirst for food and drink

As Your blood dripped onto the sod?"

"Ah no, my dearest loving child,

My thirst no one can measure.

I thirst for souls -- for souls like yours,

My joy, my dearest treasure.

I came to earth to share, to show

To all, the path I trod.

I hope this thirst, which now you feel,

Draws you to Me, your God.

The road is not an easy one,

There are trials at every bend,

But they'll bring you to your dwelling place,

As you reach your journey's end.

I'll meet you there . . . your Lord and God,

We'll join our LOVE together.

This union WE have shared so long

Will quench your THIRST forever!"

Everyone had a wonderful time at the Sippin' for the Sisters Tea Fundraiser held on March 9. What a blessed day! Our guests enjoyed tea, yummy sandwiches, delicious desserts, great music, fellowship, and some fabulous prizes! Best of all, the proceeds benefit our sisters in Camilla Hall. We look forward to seeing you next year!

PRAYER AROUND THE CROSS

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 2, 7:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.

We invite Christians of all denominations to join us for a Taizé style of prayer as we gather around the cross of Jesus Christ who is our hope and promise of new life. Please extend this invitation to family and friends and come join us in person. A livestream link is also available.
