Invitation to Stanford CHIPAO Parent Playbook: Improving Understanding and Communications between Family Members and Teens
In partnership with the Culture to Culture Foundation, the SRV Council of PTAs invites middle an d high school families to the Stanford CHIPAO Parent Playbook on Sunday, November 3, 2019, 2:00 -
5:00pm at the Monte Vista High School Workday Center.

Stanford CHIPAO (Communication Health Interactive for Parents of Adolescents & Others) is a program of insightful and entertaining workshops by Stanford faculty to help families communicate more effectively. Understanding and communicating with teenagers is challenging for many families.  From academic expectations to dating, to
how teens spend their time and their allowance, issues surrounding these and other areas can bring on great stress and family conflicts.  CHIPAO uses vignette/role playing to describe and address relatable situations that happen in families. At the end of the program, they will then open up a forum for discussion, questions and answers. You will learn about strategies for parents and other family members to help foster familial understanding and avoid generational differences.
