School Closures- Keep Informed
|
Thank you for all of your support, patience and leadership while we navigate the challenges of coronavirus (COVID-19) and the School Board decision to postpone attendance at all schools in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District beginning Monday, March 16, through at least Friday, April 10, 2020 (which includes the regularly scheduled spring break, from April 6-10.
Please read each communication so that you stay informed.

March 16th, 2020 until school reopens
DETAILS
- Pick up lunch & Breakfast for Next Day
- 1 lunch & 1 breakfast for each child. Please take meals to consume off-site
- Children must be present
- No paperwork required

IHMS Movie Night - Cancelled

Thank you to all who have signed up to attend the IHMS Movie Night. Unfortunately this event is cancelled, but will be rescheduled once school is back in session. Thank you for your understanding.

IHMS Dine In/Out March Update

Due to our current Shelter in Place, Sakiya Sushi has closed through the month of March, so this event has been cancelled.

At this time our Chipotle Dine Out is still scheduled for
March 25th
from 5:00pm-9:00pm
Chipotle is donating 33% of the proceeds to Iron Horse Middle School! Make sure you tell the cashier you're supporting Iron Horse.

San Ramon Valley Community Fair - Cancelled
|
SRV Community Fair Will Not Be Held on March 18
In response to the growing concern about the spread of Coronavirus the SRV Community Fair will not be held on March 18, 2020. The DVSR Rotary Club hopes to reschedule the event but does not yet have a date in mind. New information will be shared, when available.

Summer Imagineering is NOW OPEN
|
Every summer SRVEF offers enrichment classes for SRVUSD students. Our longer summer classes allow us to offer more in-depth science, technology, engineering, art, and math curriculum to students entering 3rd-8th grade. Students are given daily challenges, connected to industry ex
perts, introduced to engaging project based learning activities, and encouraged to explore new STEAM topics.
About Our Summer Classes
- Proceeds from our program go to support district wide initiatives
- All classes are taught by certified teachers
- We focus on content heavy Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math Curriculum
- Our mission is to promote STEAM learning in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment
- Many of our classes partner with community & industry experts to extend the learning opportunity
- High school mentors help us keep the leadership to student ratio in each class at 5 to 1
- All students will receive summer class learning bags (swag bags)

The Run for Education - Save the Date - October 10-11, 2020!

Early Bird Registration Opens April 1st! Don't miss out on the best pricing for the 37th Annual Run for Education on Sunday, October 11th. The 10K run starts at Charlotte Wood Middle School at 8am and the 5K starts at 8am o
n Camino Ramon, near BR 2700, adjacent to City Center.
The Run for Education includes events for the youngest runners ages 2-6, The
Mini-Run! We also have the
Friendship Run, for students with special needs and their supporters. These events take place on Saturday, October 10th during our Health & Wellness Expo at BR 2700, adjacent to City Center.
The Run for Education, as part of the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation, supports the education of all students in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District.

2021 Washington DC and New York City Trip
|
Attention 7th Grade Parents - Trip to Washington D.C and New York City for next spring break 2021!
Join the trip of a lifetime with your friends and classmates from Iron Horse Middle School to Washington D. C, Baltimore, Gettysburg, Philadelphia and New York City! The trip will take place over Spring Break, 2021 (April 2 - 8, 2021) and is open to all current 7th graders (next year's 8th graders) and their families.
There is a maximum of 40 spaces available for both students and family members and we do anticipate that the trip will sell out! All registrations are accepted on a 1st come, 1st serve basis and the only way to secure your child's and/or your space(s) on the trip is to register a.s.a.p.
