Scooter Reminders
Please remind your students about the rules regarding scooters. All students must wear a helmet for safety. We have noticed an increase of students letting their friends ride their scooters and allowing them to do so without the proper safety gear. This is a liability so please discourage this practice.

Sign of Hope Event
Join the Leadership San Ramon Valley class of 2025 in bringing awareness about the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline with the addition of 988 signs and information throughout San Ramon and Danville. Highlights include speeches from local elected officials, resource tables, and community testimonials. More information.

Cal High Music Program
Hello Music Families,
My name is Bob Grigas (Mr. G) and I am the Director of Instrumental Music here at California High School. We are excited to welcome all of our new grizzlies to the music program! Whether you are an incoming Freshman or a returning student from Cal High, we are thrilled to have you become a member of the Instrumental Music Program . To help you get acquainted with the program, our family, and upcoming events, we are hosting a new member and returning member orientation meeting.
New Member Orientation

Returning Member Orientation
Date: Thursday April 24, 2025
Location: Cal High Band Room
Time: 7:00 PM
This orientation meeting will go over everything you need to know about the music program at Cal High. If you are interested in starting a new instrument , continuing the same instrument , or playing in a new ensemble , we will go over all of the necessary materials to help you get started.
We will discuss all of the classes offered for the music program as well as auditions, prerequisites, calendar dates , and volunteering opportunities.
This will be a great opportunity to meet fellow members, our student leadership team, instructional staff, parents, and the executive booster board to learn more about our organization and ask any questions you may have. We are asking if you are going to be in the instrumental music program this coming year that you attend one of these meetings.
If you are a new member you only need to come to the new member meeting. Thursday April 17, 2025.
If you are a returning member you only need to come to the returning member meeting. Thursday April 24, 2025.
This meeting is open to all students and parents.

Ice Cream Social Fundraiser
The leadership class will be hosting ice cream socials by grade level:
April 23 for 6th grade
April 25 for 7th grade
April 28 for 8th grade.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross to support Southern CA fire victims. Cash only.

Transfer and Enrollment Reminder
2025-26 SRVUSD Intradistrict Transfer Request Forms Open
For 2025-26, all Intradistrict Transfer Requests must be submitted by May 1, 2025. Visit the Intradistrict Transfers webpage for more information. Please note that if your student is currently attending school in the district and will be moving on to middle or high school next year, and they are planning to attend the school they are assigned to based on residence, you do not need to submit a transfer request or submit a new student enrollment application for their enrollment to move from elementary to middle or from middle to high school.

Hello parents of 8th graders,
If your 8th grader is planning on enrolling for a Non District Course during summer please read all the information at this link Summer Advancement Via Outside Institution
Follow the below steps.
1. Non District Course Intent Application (For summer coursework for 2025-26 school year) - Advancement application closes and Proof of Enrollments are due by June 10, 2025@ 11:59 pm
2. Complete Step 2 (Application to Place Credit) on my webpage
- Please submit this Application to Place Credit form after you have completed the course.
Upload the completed form, signed by both the student and parent(s). Section 4, Question 3 of the Google form is where you need to upload the signed form.
(NOTE- Paper Copies of "Application to Place Credit" will not be accepted.)
3. Submission of your Official NDC Transcript from the institution to the Registrar's office by the deadline. The deadline to submit the summer transcript is Monday, August 11, 2025 (Transcripts emailed from a student/parent are not considered official and will not be accepted.)
No late submissions will be allowed.
Timeline applies for courses taken at all institutions.
· June 10, 2025 @ 11:59 pm - Advancement application closes and Proof of Enrollments are due
· August 11, 2025 - Official transcripts are due. Alternatively, if the institution offers an email option to send it directly to vbattu2@srvusd.net this is acceptable and will be considered an official copy. (Transcripts emailed from a student/parent are not considered official.)

Lunch Time Volunteers
We are in need of parent volunteers to help supervise students during lunch times on campus.
Please remember that there are requirements to volunteer on campus all parent volunteers working with students must have completed backgroud screening, proof of Tuberculosis clearance and uploaded this into their Be A Mentor profile. All volunteers must check in at the office when they arrive.

Bright Light Award Nominations
Nominations are open for Bright Light Awards to recognize those who make a positive impact on students in special education!
The SRVUSD SELPA Community Advisory Committee (CAC) is excited to announce the Bright Lights Awards, which recognize individuals who have made a lasting impact on the lives of students in special education. We invite you to nominate someone who goes above and beyond in engaging, educating, and empowering students receiving special education services. There are nine categories in which nominees can be considered, and we encourage you to submit a nomination for someone truly deserving of this honor. The winners of each category will be celebrated during the SRVUSD Board meeting on Tuesday, May 13 2025.
