Principal Updates

New Volunteer Requirements for 25-26


Beginning with the 2025–26 school year, all SRVUSD volunteers must complete a Livescan fingerprint background check and annual online training in compliance with California Assembly Bill 506. Starting July 1, 2025, volunteers will be classified as either Level 1 (non-driving) or Level 2 (driving), and SRVUSD will no longer cover the cost of fingerprinting. All clearance steps must be completed by August 8, 2025, to be eligible to volunteer when school begins in August—please click on this May 22 SRVUSD Newsflash email for full details.


E-Bike and E-Scooter Safety Reminder  


As we head into summer, please help keep students safe by understanding the laws and restrictions around e-bike and e-scooter usage. It is unlawful for a child under the age of 15 to ride an e-bike that can travel over 20 mph, and e-scooters can only be used by persons with a driver's license or learner permit. Helmets should be worn at all times. Please see this graphic for additional information.


Annual Update 


 Mark your calendars- this year’s Annual Update will open by feeder pattern the week of July 14th and must be completed by August 9th. Completing an Annual Update for each child is mandatory for every family. Watch for additional information in the coming weeks.

The Run for Education + Expo (Sunday, October 12 at 2700 Camino Ramon in San Ramon, adjacent to City Center) is a community tradition spanning more than 40 years and an opportunity to meet families across the school district. Participate in any of the 4 sub-events at your own pace. Plus, your participation supports STEAM grants and essential programs in our schools. And mark your calendars for our District-wide Run for Education Spirit Day on September 12.


Promotion Practice


All 8th graders need to be dropped off at 7:45 am at Cal High’s event center.  

Students are dismissed and MUST leave campus at 11:00am.

Wednesday, June 4th, 6-7:30 pm (Students to arrive at Event Center no later than 5:15 PM) 

Tickets are NOT required. Seats may not be saved and will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Free Bus Rides


County Connection is excited to announce its new Youth Ride Free summer pilot program, offering fare-free rides on all bus routes for youth up to 18 years of age from June 1 through July 31. Riders under 18 can hop on any County Connection bus: no IDs or passes required. Just get on and go!

  • Practice is mandatory for all 8th graders.
  • Students are to be dropped off at 7:45am at the Event Center.
  • Practice will begin promptly at 8:00am

Hello parents of 8th graders,


If your 8th grader is planning on enrolling for a Non District Course during summer please read all the information at this link Summer Advancement Via Outside Institution

 

Follow the below steps.

1. Non District Course Intent Application (For summer coursework for 2025-26 school year) - Advancement application closes and Proof of Enrollments are due by June 10, 2025@ 11:59 pm 


2. Complete Step 2 (Application to Place Credit) on my webpage 

- Please submit this Application to Place Credit form after you have completed the course.

Upload the completed form, signed by both the student and parent(s). Section 4, Question 3 of the Google form is where you need to upload the signed form.

 (NOTE- Paper Copies of "Application to Place Credit" will not be accepted.)



3. Submission of your Official NDC Transcript from the institution to the Registrar's office by the deadline. The deadline to submit the summer transcript is Monday, August 11, 2025 (Transcripts emailed from a student/parent are not considered official and will not be accepted.)

 

No late submissions will be allowed. 

 

Timeline applies for courses taken at all institutions.  

· June 10, 2025 @ 11:59 pm - Advancement application closes and Proof of Enrollments are due 

· August 11, 2025 - Official transcripts are due. Alternatively, if the institution offers an email option to send it directly to vbattu2@srvusd.net  this is acceptable and will be considered an official copy. (Transcripts emailed from a student/parent are not considered official.)

Reflections 2025-2026


"I Belong!”


That’s the theme for the 2025-26 Reflections Art Program, which has been bringing the arts to life for more than 10 million students since 1969. California State PTA and its members, families and kids are on the forefront of this amazing program, which increases community awareness of the importance of arts in education.


Reflections encourages students of all ages to:
