New Volunteer Requirements for 25-26
Beginning with the 2025–26 school year, all SRVUSD volunteers must complete a Livescan fingerprint background check and annual online training in compliance with California Assembly Bill 506. Starting July 1, 2025, volunteers will be classified as either Level 1 (non-driving) or Level 2 (driving), and SRVUSD will no longer cover the cost of fingerprinting. All clearance steps must be completed by August 8, 2025, to be eligible to volunteer when school begins in August—please click on this May 22 SRVUSD Newsflash email for full details.
E-Bike and E-Scooter Safety Reminder
As we head into summer, please help keep students safe by understanding the laws and restrictions around e-bike and e-scooter usage. It is unlawful for a child under the age of 15 to ride an e-bike that can travel over 20 mph, and e-scooters can only be used by persons with a driver's license or learner permit. Helmets should be worn at all times. Please see this graphic for additional information.
Annual Update
Mark your calendars- this year’s Annual Update will open by feeder pattern the week of July 14th and must be completed by August 9th. Completing an Annual Update for each child is mandatory for every family. Watch for additional information in the coming weeks.
