Paul Demeda Shares Material From His Con Ed Course

Join us on Tuesday August 16 at 7:00 pm ET/4:00 pm PT for a 1 hour webinar as Paul Demeda presents on the thousands of chemicals in our environment, and how studies show that we have hundred of toxins in our blood. Toxins have been shown to contribute to a wide range of health conditions—both physical and mental. Even though detoxification protocols have been used for thousands of years to help remove disease-causing toxins, people still worry that they are dangerous, unpleasant, or just don’t work. This 1 hour webinar will help take the mystery out of detoxification, so you can stop worrying and start clearing.

Creating The Right Space To Align Your Passion & Purpose

Without fail, what we hear most from our students and graduates is that they finally were able to unite their lifelong interest in holistic health and their life's work. The work could be professional. The work could be personal. In either case, the immersion into nature's truths becomes part of one's identity. It's an inseparable connection between what you know and what you doa set of beliefs. Alignment of one's knowledge, with one's actions, becomes paramount to integrity. We are more than pleased to continue offering education that maintains significance, purpose and upholds our values.

You can connect with a Program Advisor to develop your schedule based on the flexible scheduling options to ensure your academic, personal or professional success.

When you enroll in IHN's diploma program, you have the option of pursuing your studies in two ways: LIVE and VirtuallyONLINE or LIVE and In-ClassON CAMPUS

The Online program was duplicated by design to fully emulate and hold the In-Class academics, evaluations, administrative support and the highly valued, student experience. You can register for our program and experience the high caliber of learning, in the comfort of your own home, regardless where you are, within the two time zones that we offer LIVE. In-class students can choose from one of three physical campuses (Toronto, Mississauga, Vancouver). The classrooms have waited patiently for the energetic buzz of students learning, and discovering the holistic world, together.

You can choose from completing the program FULL-TIME or PART-TIME (in 1 or 2 years) then select the best time for you, either DAY or EVENING.

Full-time (day) classes, whether online or in-class run Monday-Thursday (4 consecutive days) 10 am to 2 pm. Part-time (day or evening) whether online or in-class run are either 10 am to 2 pm or 6 to 9:30 pm but only 2 days a week.

At this point, we want to help you sort through what would work best for you, on a phone call or via Zoom, since giving you our additional options gets centered around personal schedules.

We'll share more with you about how you can join us from anywhere in the world through our Canadian times zones for study, either PACIFIC or EASTERN, and through our Online REPLAY times.

Our Workplace Wellness Whisperer Event

IHN Administration was treated an Elemental Breathwork Workshop by IHN graduate, Rita Savoia. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher, Master of Industrial Relations and founder of Savoia Self-Care. She helps individuals improve performance potential by becoming their own health heroes. The session was both objectively instructive, and subjectively enlightening! Chances are good that in-class and online students will be participating in an encore session before the end of the year. Students will learn how to destress through conscious breathing targeted at releasing stress as well as how to feel more connected and open to their environment. Something we all need after having felt isolated from one another for too long.

Proper breathing is an overlooked and underestimated mechanism for improved mental, physical, and emotional health. Breath is most often used for stress reduction (reducing blood pressure) but known to be applied for pain management, increasing focus and productivity, improving mood and emotional wellbeing, being more resilient, and quite simply, being happier.

It's also an interesting and gentler way to open the pineal gland. Breathing exercises, techniques and meditations are meant to awaken your pineal gland and to open your third eye. When your pineal gland is healthy and active, you easily experience empathy and a sense of connection and belonging. You become couched in a heightened state of clarity that goes beyond the five senses.

We hope that you decide to join us at IHN, meet Rita and enjoy one of our many student appreciation events. She whose in practice and personally,

As part of IHN's team, with her select-client practice, hobbies, as well as being a wife, hockey mom to two sons and a 5 year old Shishon named Max, Inder knows what it's like to be busy. When she started IHN's Applied Holistic Nutrition Program (graduate of 2019), Inder was inspired to supercharge her mornings in an efficient and nutritious wayenter her morning smoothies. She is very particular about what she uses to nourish her body and mind. She created quick and easy to make smoothie recipes that boost her energy while providing her with a clean, organic and well-rounded breakfast in a cup. Some of her staple ingredients, combined with various accessory superfoods, are Botanica's protein powder; frozen, organic blueberries for antioxidants and keeping things cool in the heat; MCT for brain fuel and energy; bananas for consistency, potassium and that banana-y flavour. Not to forget, a big handful of fresh, leafy greens!

Inder is the Communications, Field Trip, Holistic Food Preparation and Student Clinic Coordinator, and Program Advisor at IHN's Mississauga Campus. She is a crucial member of the team at IHN—click and scroll to see Inder's feature from December 8, 2021

A crucial component of health that many are aware of, but few put serious effort towards is the quality of your sleep. Compared to most typical baking flours that you would find in a standard grocery store, almond flour provides more nutritional value than most. It is a flour you can conveniently make at home and is a great gluten-free substitute for wheat flours. Almonds are rich in healthy fat, plant-based protein, fibre, vitamin E and minerals. The next time you are looking for a way to include almond flour for a nutritional boost, we recommend this Chocolate Chip Waffle recipe by IHN graduate, Alexandra King.
