Can't Find Employment Opportunities?

Check your IHN Weekly Digest! Students and graduates were used to getting separate emails with Employment Opportunities that many have missed since they have been part of the Weekly Digest sends. Every two weeks, you will see a WORK section in the Digest that highlights current positions available. Since we made this transition, we have received emails from students and graduates asking what happened to them. There have been hundreds of opportunities shared for the last 16 months. We started adding them to the Digest in August 2020. We typically plug them in mid-way through the newsletter. This email is a one-off send to get you to open the Digest, and scroll the content to find 🧐 the job opps.

We are one of the few schools, and proud, to source the employment opportunities that we can, within the time we have available. They are only for our current students and graduates. The shift to the alumni membership will happen but between now and then, we want to keep options open. Remember that we are not able to source physical opps within your exact community, with so many students and graduates living all over the province, country and the world. What the career links can do is spur an idea of what is possible out there—seeking roles which are similar. The links can support independent research. Speaking of links, you'll find the Work Links section in this email helpful.

Clinical opportunities are an entirely different kettle of fish. The last 10 years have shown a significant uptick in CNPs working with medical, naturopathic, and integrative wellness clinics—many of which are landed from a Co-op to Career bridging—for the right talent. There are several successful ways to attract the attention of employers. Watch for an upcoming Zoom call to discuss the possibilities and process.

Last thing! Ask your student or graduate peers if they get these Weekly Digests! For some, they go into spam or something called a 'promotions' folder if they have a Gmail account. If they're not getting this, have them contact [email protected] to make sure this email automation system (Constant Contact) is behaving.

This is a short list of the links that we use to suss out employment opportunities. It is an extensive enough of a list of job boards and company websites that garner us results with standard parameters. It's through the alumni project that we will begin to seek specific positions for our graduates. Our graduates have a vast and ever-growing body of knowledge that takes them in distinct directions—specific to their personal preferences, intellectual interests, professional goals, their geography and resources. IHN’s capacity to build Employment Opportunities had reached its bandwidth when we were mandated to close campuses and limit staff, back in March 2020.
