Setting The Example In A World Of Change

The journey of faith in your ideologies must never end. Adversaries of plant, micronutrient, food or homeopathic medicine have been, and always will be, around us. But unlike the current public battles of personal choice in how to deal with one's own health, we trust that graduates and students of IHN remain understanding and compassionate. We are stronger together, than we are apart. IHN stands firmly in the intelligence of nature, science bound by its ethical roots and the profound truths in the knowledge we acquire, and teach, from ancient to contemporary evidence-based research.

In the staggering world events that persist, 2022 continues to urge individual and collective advocacy. The realignment of identity with beliefs, when combined with critical thinking, become the source of our confidence. Practitioners and students are called to maintain the unyielding nature of iron with the fluidity of silk. No different than years before, is the pride IHN has in every graduate who remains the light (and sparkle) as a teacher of natural health, and integrative medicine, the world deeply needs.

Robert Tomilson Shares Material From The Con Ed Course

Join us Tuesday, January 18 at 7:00 PM ET/4:00 PM PT for a 1 hour webinar, as Robert Tomilson takes us on a journey through a fascinating exploration of the Iris and Sclera of the eyes. Observe how to detect weakness in the body long before it manifests as disease. Iridology is a quick, accurate, non-invasive and painless method of health analysis through the examination of the iris and a perfect “marriage” with any nutritional practice. The iris consists of tiny nerve fibers known as trabecula that reveal the body’s constitution, inherent weakness, level of health and the transitions that take place in a person’s body according to the way they live. Discover how a simple step-by-step process can not only give you deep insights into various health issues, but also maximize your marketability and thoroughly impress your clients.
Dr. David Duizer Shares Material From The Con Ed Course

Join us Tuesday, January 25 at 7:00 PM ET for a 1 hour webinar, as Dr. David Duizer, ND outlines a holistic approach to metabolism assessment and treatment. From disrupting metabolism and slowing metabolic rate to causing mental/emotional distress and disordered eating habits, popular weight loss programs often cause more harm than good. Sustainable, reliable, and effective weight loss programs need to be individualized, which comes from understanding how to properly analyze metabolism and calorie-burning efficiency. Through clinical laboratory and functional testing, David is able to determine high-value targets for rapid metabolic improvements and efficient weight loss.

After decades of debilitating migraines, a patient found that once he adopted a plant-based diet, the frequency and severity of migraines were drastically reduced. In a November 18, 2021 article (3 minute read), Dr. Gunter Kuhnel shared that “[Some] foods are known to trigger a migraine. Bioactive compounds found in dark-green leafy vegetables and other good foods have an important role in the management of many diseases.” The patient adopted a Low Inflammatory Foods Everyday (LIFE) diet which consisted of lots of dark-green vegetables, fruits, beans and a daily green smoothie. Food became this patient’s medicine!

Turkey is a nutritious poultry that provides protein, fat, and a variety of vitamins and minerals. Turkey is lower in saturated fat than other proteins and may be a better choice for heart health. There are many micronutrients present in turkey including iron, zinc, and vitamin 12, which all promote healthy blood, immunity, and nervous system health. It also contains some B vitamins needed for energy metabolism. We recommend these delicious Turkey Apple Burgers by IHN graduate Lucy Jennings.
