This course will provide a clinical overview of cannabis education and its healing properties in culinary applications. Participants will learn about the different types of cannabis, how it works in the body, the various ways to consume it, and how to make your own cannabis preparations with CBD. Outcomes of the course will give the practitioner a strong base knowledge, that will answer most questions about using cannabis in practice. It will allow for confidence in considering cannabis for clients in daily use through CBD infusions, salves, topicals and edibles.

Looking For Additions To Amazing Student Clinic Advisors!

Due to the popularity of this Co-op/Practicum, we are seeking more talented CNPs to join the clinic as Student Clinic Advisors (SCAs). Please send your resume (showing years in practice) with a short note of interest to IHN's Student Clinic Coordinator, Inder Gharial at [email protected]

Inder will share with you the qualifications needed to participate along with the process and partnership with IHN. In 2018, when we revamped how IHN’s Student Clinic ran, we sought out six tremendous CNPs who served as IHN’s first SCAs. They offer support for students, through their first experiences with clients. All of our SCAs are recognized as respected, deeply knowledgeable and committed to the profession. These mentors are there as a resource for participating students, to review all protocols before they are delivered to the clients. Although most of our SCAs have been doing clinical work for over 10 years, we always encourage graduates who have been practicing clinically for a minimum of 2 years to reach out if they are interested in becoming a student mentor. A huge thank you to all of our past and current SCAs!

Student Clinic Collaboration with Cam's Kids!

Kristen Morton is a 2020 IHN graduate who plays an integral role at Cam's Kids. She is the Administration and Content Development Coordinator but due to the foundation's small size, she does much more than her title. She is now three years cancer free, and confidently moves through life having learned the self-care lessons needed to make sustained change. This is why she is incredibly passionate about mental health and its impact on the physical body. The project with IHN supports her personal and professional mission.

Cam's Kids is committed to supporting young people struggling with anxiety by, creating anxiety awareness, providing mental health tools, lifestyle tips, resources and encouraging peer-to-peer support through their Nationwide Ambassador Program. IHN and Cam's Kids are running an Invitation for Cam’s Kids Ambassadors to submit interest for a full, guided Student Clinic program. These ambassadors are the face of the foundation in their communities, at school, home and wherever they go.

If It's ConsciousSoil to BarJulia's All In!

She's holding Chocosol, but says there are plenty local, small-scale, and ethical chocolate makers out there. The book by Carol Off, "Bitter ChocolateInvestigating The Dark Side Of The World's Most Seductive Sweet" changed everything. It sits on her food politics shelf. The book is about the exploitation, corruption, greed and slavery that is pervasive within the world's largest chocolate manufacturers. "Google the big players up, and put them on your won't eat list." Instead, look for fair or direct trade so you know chocolate is produced under ethical standards; community development; organic practices; environmental impact; taste and (of course) nutrition! That's a short list of her evaluation matrix.

We all love nutritious dishes that have a bonus effect of supporting your physical appearance. There had been a rumour that Jennifer Aniston ate this salad for 10 years. The original recipes calls for bulgar wheat, but using quinoa instead results in a delicious gluten free alternative. We recommend The Jennifer Aniston Salad With Quinoa by IHN graduate, Jordana Hart.
