Waljee appointed assistant dean for global health research

Akbar K. Waljee, M.D., M.Sc., professor of learning health sciences and internal medicine, has been appointed assistant dean for global health research in the Medical School. His role will extend beyond our borders as he oversees and fosters collaborations and partnerships at the international level.

Mahajan appointed chair of U-M Department of Emergency Medicine

Prashant Mahajan, M.D., M.P.H., M.B.A., has been appointed chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine and William G. Barsan Collegiate Professor of Emergency Medicine in the U-M Medical School, effective July 1. Mahajan previously served as vice chair of the department and section chief of Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
