Innovative Health Solutions (IHS) has announced the publication of two promising intervention studies in the Journal of Trauma-Informed Community Health, Nutrition, and Physical Activity, highlighting positive health outcomes in Solano County. The first study, An Outcome Evaluation of a Medically Tailored Meal Intervention for Older Adults with Diabetes, demonstrated significant improvements in blood sugar levels among participants. The second study focused on Black/African American perinatal women with substance use disorder, showing readiness to engage in trauma-informed nutrition education and notable improvements in food skills. These findings underscore the urgent need for continued health interventions in underserved communities and reflect IHS’s commitment to developing innovative approaches for better health outcomes in the region.
