Visit the FSC at Truck World 2026


Truck World is Canada’s largest commercial trucking trade show, showcasing the latest trucks and equipment and industry innovations. The event will take place from April 16 to 18 at The International Centre in Mississauga. It brings together fleets, suppliers, and professionals for networking, learning, and hands-on experiences with new tech, such as GreenTech, and Truck World Garage demonstrations.

FSC Hamilton/Niagara Chapter Spring Seminar 2026: The Culture Club

IHSA seeks members for new labour-management committee on workplace psychological safety, mental health, and substance use


IHSA is launching a new Cross-Sector Labour-Management Committee on Workplace Psychological Safety, Mental Health, and Substance Use.


This committee will provide strategic guidance on emerging risks, prevention strategies, and sector needs across Ontario’s aggregates, construction, electrical utilities, and transportation industries.


IHSA is now accepting expressions of interest from labour and management leaders with experience in workplace psychological safety, mental health, or substance use health.

Proposed regulations: Issuing administrative penalties for select commercial and passenger offences


Under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) and the Towing and Storage Safety and Enforcement Act, the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) is responsible for compliance and monitoring activities.


The MTO is proposing regulations related to issuing administrative penalties for select commercial and passenger offences in these two acts. 


Submit comments on the proposal by April 23, 2026.

International Roadcheck 2026


From May 12 to 14, enforcement personnel throughout North America will inspect commercial motor vehicles and commercial motor vehicle drivers for compliance with vehicle, cargo, and driver regulatory requirements as part of International Roadcheckthe Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s 72-hour inspection, enforcement, and data-collection initiative.


This year, the focus for drivers is electronic logging device tampering, falsification, or manipulation and the focus for vehicles is cargo securement.

Registration opens for Central Ontario Regional Truck Driving Championships


Registration is now open for the Central Ontario Regional Truck Driving Championships (CORTDC) taking place on Saturday, June 13 at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium Complex.


The CORTDC is a not-for-profit volunteer organization dedicated to providing an opportunity for professional truck drivers to showcase their talents. It gives the trucking industry a way to promote safe driving and skill and allows drivers to demonstrate their professionalism in the industry.
