IIABW Launches New Website

IIABW is excited to introduce our newly redesigned website—built to make it easier for you to find what you need, when you need it. Governor Asks For Cuts & No New Taxes

Gov. Ferguson’s budget director has instructed state departments to plan significant cuts for “what will likely be the most challenging budget any of us has yet faced.” Last spring, the state legislature outspent their tax collections by $5 billion by making one-time transfers. The state’s rainy-day fund now has the lowest reserves in the country and is at risk of lowering our state's credit rating. The Seattle Times Editorial Board says lawmakers have 'run out of creative accounting tactics and cutting spending is the only way out of this mounting mess.' 


Spokane Young Agents Baseball on 6/25

IIAB of Spokane Golf Tournament 8/20

Homeowner Rate Increases in Washington 

According to a study of homeowners rates by LendingTree,

  • over the last 5 years, rates climbed 55% in Washington state and 47% nationally; 
  • 2025 rates increased 3.5% in Washington and 6% nationwide;
  • the average annual cost of home insurance in 2025 is $1,560 in Washington State and $2,400 nationwide.
