Group Q&A
Before the main presentation, please plan to be a part of our group Q&A session.  During this 15 minute session, we'll open the meeting for any Business Analysis questions, or questions related to the evening's topic. This is your chance to leverage the massive collective experience of the chapter to address questions or problems you are facing as a BA and would like to get the groups input. You may also be the one with just the right piece of information or advice for a question raised to the group.

Message from the Chapter Board
By Phil Baker, President ski-jumper-sm.jpg

State of the Union... IIBA Denver style.
Naturally with the new year, comes much reflection. With a membership base hovering around 80 members strong, the chapter possesses a wealth of business analysis knowledge unrivaled in Denver. The upcoming year will bring forth much growth in terms of numbers... more on that later.   With growth will come change and one of those changes relates to the time, location and frequency of our chapter meetings.
Over the last couple years, we have set up shop in the DTC for all of our chapter meetings, while we certainly plan on continuing to meet at this location, we also would like to accommodate all of the chapters members.
What do these accommodations look like? That's the question for the chapter as a whole to answer. Would a location closer to downtown be a better option? Perhaps a different day and or time? These are the types of questions that we would like all of the members who want to attend, but for whatever reason, have not been able to. Please, let us know through this survey or talk to us about it.
I'm very excited about the upcoming year and the change that it will bring. We have some great guest speakers on tap, several relevant case studies we will delve into and exciting networking opportunities.  In the past, the chapter has provided several outlets for learning and success.  and this year will do just that and more. I think that the membership will appreciate the guest speakers, topics and ideas we have on tap for the year. In the meantime, this resources link provides a list of free BA training online.

Also this month, if you are thinking it is time to give back to the chapter, we have volunteer openings for VP of Education, VP of Events, and study group coordinator. Let me know if you would like more information on these.  And starting this month we will be trialing taking chapter meeting registrations through Meetup instead of through Constant Contact. Let us know how it is working.

I look forward to the year ahead.

Best,
Phil
