Starting with this meeting, we are using Meet Up to manage registrations. You may need to register with Meet up if you haven't already.

Group Q&A
Before the main presentation, please plan to be a part of our group Q&A session.  During this 15 minute session, we'll open the meeting for any Business Analysis questions, or questions related to the evening's topic. This is your chance to leverage the massive collective experience of the chapter to address questions or problems you are facing as a BA and would like to get the groups input. You may also be the one with just the right piece of information or advice for a question raised to the group.

Message from the Chapter Board
By Sandi Byron, VP of Marketing
Spring starts this month and here in Colorado, we all know that means "SPRING SKIING". Apparently, in the Northeast it means snow, snow, and more snow.
I hope all our members have used the information from our last meeting and put together your career and personal goals for the new year. Career goals don't just apply to your current job but should carry you forward into a new job if that is what this year brings to your life.
The IIBA is a great place to network to find that new job (if needed) or to get those answers you might need in your current job.
The Denver Chapter of the IIBA hosted an information table at both the Colorado Springs and the Denver Business Association night at Colorado Technical College. Last April Susan Futey and Alan Cavin attended the Colorado Springs meeting. Most of the students that attended in Denver are close to getting a degree in Business Administration, and I was able to discuss how they would probably be a Business Analyst in their future career. Hopefully we will see a few of them in this month's chapter meeting.
Remember, the IIBA Denver Chapter is a volunteer organization and YOU are the heart and soul of it. To get more involved with the chapter, please talk to a board member about one of our open positions or how to volunteer to help out.

IIBA is a non-profit organization for Business Analyst professionals.  The goal of the local Denver Chapter is to support IIBA by (1) advancing the role of the Business Analyst as a recognized profession, (2) support opportunities for members to network with, and gain knowledge from, seasoned BA practitioners as well as industry and government leaders, (3) provide access for members to a formal "knowledge base" as well as forums for sharing expertise, expressing professional opinions and building a reputation within the industry, (4) provide pathways to learn about business analysis best practices, and (5) obtain and sustain a level of financial security, sustainability, and autonomy at the local level.
