We'd like to take a moment to thank Maria Glaser, our previous Past-President, who recently rolled off the IIDA Alabama Board of Directors after many years of service.
Maria, with Birchfield Penuel & Associates, is a Senior Associate in the firm and is NCIDQ Certified, LEED AP accredited, and a Registered Interior Designer in the state of Alabama. She graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Interior Design from Virginia College and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Birmingham-Southern College.
Maria is an active member of the commercial interior design community and has been instrumental to the growth and future of IIDA Alabama. She has been the chair of one of our most popular events, Artrageous, for many years which has allowed us to give back to organizations like Studio by the Tracks and Ruffner Mountain. Maria is also actively involved in the Alabama Interior Design Coalition, is an NCIDQ Ambassador, and will be joining the Alabama Board of Registered Interior Designers representing the Central District.
