Jan. 26, 2024 | Thank you to State Senator Christopher Belt (IL-57) for inviting Illinois Chamber President Lou Sandoval to his townhall meeting this week. A great discussion was had regarding small business financing and the Small Business Truth in Lending Act (SB 2234). The event was hosted by the Woodstock Institute and drew business owners from the East St. Louis Area.

HB 4669 and SB 3152 gives small businesses the autonomy and needed support to make investments in their businesses. That is strong pro-business policy.

This annual event co-created and hosted by HDR brings together water producers from across the region to earn the right to compete at WATERCON.

In her role as the Business Services Coordinator, Jill will collaborate with Vice President of Business Services, Laurie Silvey to support the creation, promotion, planning, and execution of designated programs for the Business Service Division's operations. Some of these programs include assisting with the coordination of HR memberships, publications, Chamber events, and affinity programs.
Jill came to the Chamber with a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Illinois Springfield. Prior to the Chamber, Jill was employed at the Jacksonville Middle School from 2018 to 2024 as the administrative assistant. She provides a passionate, forward-thinking approach to her work, drawing from her vast experience in marketing and customer service.
