2015 ILLINOIS PROFESSIONAL TRUCK DRIVING CHAMPIONSHIP IS HERE

 The 2015 Illinois Professional Truck Driving Championship begins today at Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, IL. This year, a record number of drivers will compete for the chance to advance to the National Truck Driving Championship in St. Louis this August.

ROBERTS PERRYMAN ATTORNEYS HOSTS TRUCKING LEADERSHIP SYMPOSIUM On Thursday, Roberts Perryman Attorneys hosted their annual Trucking Leadership Symposium at the Ball Park Village in downtown St. Louis. The high level leadership meeting included trucking companies from Illinois and from Missouri. Ted Perryman and his talented team hosted ATA 1st Vice Chairman Pat Thomas, ATRI President/COO Rebecca Brewster, as well as a regulatory panel of Illinois and Missouri regulators that included Illinois State Police M/Sgt Todd Armstrong. Speakers also included Frank Lancaster from Rand McNally who spoke about the use of technology in your safety program.  ITA Board Member, Aaron Tennant joined Kevin Burch from Jet Express and Elisabeth Barna from the ATA to talk about the trucking industry's image movement, Trucking Moves America Forward. All proceeds from this year's Trucking Leadership Symposium went to the Trucking Moves America Forward movement.
ITA Executive Director, Matt Hart, spoke at the symposium as he provided attendees with an Illinois Legislative Update. He was joined by Missouri Trucking Association President, Tom Crawford, who offered a full review of activities in the Missouri Legislature this year. ITA INVITES MEMBERS TO WILL COUNTY MEETING ON WEDNESDAY The Illinois Trucking Association invites all ITA members that conduct business in Will County to attend a special ITA luncheon meeting on Wednesday, June 10 in Elwood. ITA Executive Director, Matt Hart, will be speaking about the latest developments in Springfield and in Washington, DC that affect the trucking industry. In addition, ITA Associate Director, Randy Thomas, will be speaking about local issues that are affecting trucking in Will County such as the closure of Walter Strawn Ave in Elwood and permit issues for Arsenal Road. REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR ILLINOIS TECHNICIAN COMPETITION: JULY 17-18 presented by JX Peterbilt The 2015 Illinois Technician Competition will be held July 17-18 at Universal Technical Institute in Lisle, IL. ITA invites all truck technicians from across the state to join us for the statewide competition. Winners qualify for the national SuperTech competition in Orlando, FL this September.
