A MESSAGE FROM ILG'S EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR | |
Dear Friends of ILG,
What a whirlwind February has been! The month was filled with inspiring and informative events that helped solidify our 2024 strategy and refine our key initiatives.
I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge signature activities like Black History Month in February and the upcoming Women’s History Month in March. But at ILG we are committed to advancing equity and diversity every day, not just in a particular season, so you can expect to see unapologetic recognition of the many diverse and exceptional local government leaders and programs throughout the year on our platforms.

In this newsletter, you’ll get a snapshot of some of the key happenings at ILG and in the local government landscape. We have new board leadership, some new ways to engage with us on your workforce issues, and opportunities to highlight your team’s success. We’ll also be speaking at a few conferences and launching additional trainings for your staff. The legislative session is in full swing, and our three affiliates have some important policy events taking place that are open for registration as well. Our corporate partners are also sharing a number of important webinars, white papers and briefings that are available to you as well.
The work of a municipality and its staff and elected leaders is never done. Whether you’re planning for a storm or preparing for an election, the to-do list grows by the minute, even when your capacity and budgets seem to shrink by the day. At ILG, we know the challenges you’re facing and hope to work along side you to support your important work.
Please contact us to learn more about how we may be able to help your agency build capacity and achieve your important goals.
With gratitude from all of us at ILG,
Erica L. Manuel
CEO & Executive Director
