  • Up to December 15, 2023, the Public Vehicle Licensing Operations Facility at 2350 W. Ogden Avenue, 1st Floor, Chicago, IL 60608 is open to walk-ins without appointments from 8:30 am to 11:30 am only. After 11:30 am is by appointment only
  • From December 18, 2023 to January 9, 2024, the Public Vehicle Licensing Operations Facility will provide service by appointment only.


Important for 2024 ! - BACP has eliminated the windshield livery vehicle license sticker.

The 2024 Livery Vehicle License “hard” card must always be displayed on the passenger side dashboard when the livery vehicle is in operation. Click here for bulletin.

CVSA Brake Inspection Blitz Sidelines 1 In 8 Trucks And Buses


The results are in for the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s (CVSA) annual Brake Safety Week.

The inspection blitz of trucks and buses, conducted Aug. 20-26, saw nearly 19,000 vehicles inspected, with almost 2,400 – or 12.6% – being placed out of service.

Vehicle inspectors placed special emphasis on brake lining/pads, uncovering nearly 700 violations. In a press release, CVSA notes that although these infractions aren’t necessarily out-of-service violations, they still impact a driver’s safety rating and “may lead to more serious problems” if unaddressed.
