Dive into Summer Reading!

Summer is here, and this year’s Summer Reading Program: Unearth a Story is in full swing! Check out our calendar to save the date for fun events and stop by youth services to register and pick up a tracking packet!

Tweens/teens ages 12 and up can use the Beanstack system for tracking your reading minutes. See details below in the teen section of this newsletter.

Make the Most of June!

June is packed with exciting programs and creative opportunities in Youth Services!

  • As construction continues, please keep an eye on the library website for any schedule updates or last-minute closures.

  • The popular Dino Diane paleontology adventure has only 4 spots left—kids ages 10–16 can excavate, reconstruct, and illustrate dinosaurs across this fun three-day hands-on experience, so be sure to register soon!

  • Family Ukulele also has just 10 spots remaining.

  • Biz Kids Series in Sedona is currently full, but Cottonwood and Camp Verde locations still have openings, and everyone is invited to attend the Biz Kids Marketplace on July 11 to explore kids' handmade goods.

  • On June 11, Red Rock Quilters will host an all-ages fiber arts activity in the library lobby where participants can explore quilting, fabric art, and simple crafting techniques while creating projects to take home.

  • The annual Mini Art Show, themed “Unearth a Story!,” is also coming soon. Attend the workshop to create a submission, or pick up a canvas anytime in Youth Services—artwork must be submitted by June 30 at 5:00 pm to be included in the show.

Summer at the library is shaping up to be full of creativity, learning, and fun!

Huge Thanks to the Sponsors of Summer Reading 2026!

Special thanks and Happy 9th Anniversary to primary sponsors, Friends of the Sedona Library Book Store!
