Early Career Researcher Spotlight
|
|
Peter Teye Busumprah is a Fisheries Officer working at the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development (Government of Ghana) and is a student of the National Aquaculture Center (GHANA). He is the Node Coordinator for Early Career Ocean Professional (Ghana Node) (UN OCEAN DECADE). His work involves working towards UN Ocean Decade challenges 8 and 9 to create a digital representation of the ocean & skills, knowledge and technology for all. Peter is a member of the International Association of Hydrological Science of (IUGG)(Germany), American Fisheries Society (USA), African Network of Deep-water Researchers and Global Ocean Observation System. Peter recently received the Global Ocean Tribute Awards on behalf of the Early Career Ocean Professionals -ECOP Africa for the project titled “Nature Based Carbon Removal and Sustainable Aquaculture in Africa”.

What do desirable futures for small-scale fisheries look like? In this example of transdisciplinary and transformative research, fishers, entrepreneurs, chefs, artists and researchers used art-based methods to spark collective creativity and co-create futures!
