Forestdale, Mass. (October 21, 2014) --- The Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) today announced 10 additional events that have been accredited thru the IMLCA Event Accreditation Platinum Standards Program.

This third group of events joins the previously announced 32 events that have met the standards to utilize the IMLCA Accredited Events seal and have committed to provide quality experiences for the prospects, their parents, select programs and college coaches.

The IMLCA Accredited Events program is managed by a committee of four premier college head coaches who are committed to establishing and expanding this important program in order to provide benefits to all constituencies.

The vision of this program is to establish a framework of best practices that effectively serve the lacrosse industry, student-athlete college prospects, their parents, lacrosse organizations and the IMLCA member college coaches.

The goal of the program is to offer "minimum operating standards" and consistency of performance for all recruiting events to follow and to enhance the presentation of each Event in order to become one of top value to all participants.

Coaches and event owners interested in applying for accreditation for events should contact Phil Buttafuoco (pbuttafuoco@lacrossecoaches.org) to receive the application.

About the IMLCA

The IMLCA was created to help build the game of lacrosse, become the premier organization providing coaches development and monitor the integrity of the game. Its membership is comprised of individual collegiate coaches. To further expose its value, the IMLCA has created relationships with the high school boys lacrosse coaches and the collegiate club lacrosse coaches so that they too can benefit from the initiatives of the Association.

IMLCA Convention

The IMLCA Convention will take place December 12-14 at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel. Registration and more information is available at www.lacrossecoaches.org.
