IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED: URGE Congress to Sign PBM Reform Letter!

U.S. Congressman Buddy Carter and key legislative pharmacy allies drafted a bipartisan letter to House and Senate leadership urging them to prioritize PBM reform during end-of-year negotiations to ensure that the bipartisan efforts they’ve worked on this session are passed into law.

They need your help getting as many members of Congress as possible to sign the letter by December 2, 2024. Please contact your legislator to urge them to sign this letter and enact PBM reforms before the end of 2024.

Time is short, so act now.

Enthusiasm for PBM reform is surging in Congress, and our allies are working tirelessly to build support for passing reforms this year. But time is running short: Congress is returning on November 12 for a brief lame-duck session that lasts just five legislative weeks.

APRx advocacy leaders and members – your pharmacy peers – visited Washington, DC in September for the second annual American Pharmacies Federal Fly-in where they met with 38 congressional offices to hammer home the need for passing essential PBM reforms this year. We have continued to engage with our allies in Congress and believe the time is ripe for action.

(L-R): APRx member John Gross of Michigan presents the case for PBM reform.

(L-R): APRx Board member Russell Pelzel of Texas,

PUTT Board member Brandi Chane, APRx member

John Hickman and Board member Mark Vogler of Texas.

Now, it’s your turn. Your input is vital to helping get reforms passed by the end of the year, so please write to your congressional delegation.

The deadline for signatures is December 2, 2024.
