Behind the Curtain at IMPACT
Meet Our New Medical Writers!
Rachel Cohen and Nick Luciano
We welcomed Nick and Rachel into the IMPACT family in 2017.
Rachel recently completed her doctorate at UNC and worked as a contract editor for American Journal Experts. She enjoys running, swimming, yoga, hiking, and sweet potatoes.
Nick recently completed his postdoc training at Duke. He loves spending time with his wife and their dog Crouton, and enjoys cooking, playing disc golf, and rooting for the Blue Devils.
Meet Erica's Team of Medical Writers!

From Left to Right: Ryan Overcash, Kasturi Puranam, Erica Allen, Lori Davis, Meredith Latino, Nick Luciano. Not Pictured: Jenny Garver

Erica's team is made up of 7 fabulous, hard-working scientists at varying stages of their careers who, put together, have over
28 years of medical writing/regulatory experience!

Erica joined IMPACT in 2009 after starting her career as a medical writer at Constella/SRA. She enjoys spending time watching hockey (her son's team or the Capitals/Hurricanes) and riding horses with her daughter.
Lori started at IMPACT in 2012 after starting her career as a staff toxicologist at ILS, Inc. She enjoys spending time at the beach or in the mountains with her husband and 3 rescue dogs, traveling, hiking and kayaking on the Eno River, and volunteering with her 2 therapy dogs.
Jenny came to IMPACT in 2010 after being a stay-at-home mom and science teacher. She enjoys running countless miles through the streets of Apex with her favorite running partner (husband, Tim) and spending time with her 3 teenage children (Dani, Nick, and Melissa).
Meredith started at IMPACT in 2012 after being a stay-at-home mom. She spends a good portion of her time with her husband, Ben, watching their son, Ben Russell play CASL soccer and watching their daughter, Isabella play CASL soccer and figure skate. When she can, she loves to take trips, especially to the Blue Ridge Parkway to hike.
Kasturi  joined IMPACT in 2015 and transitioned into medical writing after spending many years as a research scientist in academia, working both at Duke and UNC. She loves to read and travel with her family. In her spare time she can be found in her kitchen trying out new recipes.
Ryan joined us in March of 2016 after completing his postdoc at Duke University. Outside the office, he trains in Taekwondo with his family, volunteers at Saving Grace dog shelter, and tries to fix/upgrade his house and cars, or "tinker" as his wife calls it.
Nick is our newest team member (as of January 2017) and joined us after completing his postdoc at Duke University. He is excited to try his thumb (not so green) at gardening and raising chickens this summer.

Think you'd like to join our team at IMPACT? Then check out our  open positions!
