Believe it (or not), I, Bob Mackey (a.k.a. Snow Dog) have been elected the new Orlando Ski Club President. As Pres, I wish to say a big "Thank you" to Past President, Earl Schuette, for his two years of excellent leadership, time and energy spent on behalf of the Club. Earl's final goal as OSC President was to bring the Club into the overdue member service of online membership and trip sign-up through a new OSC website. You will read more about this later within the newsletter. For July, there is much to tell you about the Club, so, here goes:

First, OSC had a wonderful June Social at the Ale House in Winter Park Village, with a good turnout of approximately 50 people. If you could not make last month's social, how about attending the July Social? It will again be at the Winter Park Village Ale House, Wednesday, July 9th, 6pm - 8pm. I am sure we will be all excited and talking about this winter's planned OSC ski trips.

Second, the OSC Travel Committee has been working hard (mostly 1st VP, Kathryn Hardage...thank you, Kathryn]) to finalize the ski trips for the '14 - '15 ski season. As usual, finding good air has been difficult, and has delayed our ability to give final details of the upcoming trips. You will find listed below my message the destinations and dates for the trips the Club has tentatively planned.

The Club is also working on a possible December Holiday Trip. Last year's Holiday Trip, with its incredible Trip Leader, Donna Torkos, was such a success, the Club wants to make this trip an annual tradition. Hoping to work out the details very soon.

Third, there are a few summer activities you should be aware of for future fun. Greg Blalack is leading a group to Boston, July 16th - 20th, for fun on the town and two (2) red Sox baseball games (have fun in Bean Town, you all!). Bob Mackey (yours truly) is organizing the Annual OSC Bowling Event, August 10th, 3pm - 5pm, at the Aloma Bowl, ($18.00/pp). It's good to be inside on a HOT August day. It is a Club tradition to hold this bowling event one (1) week prior to ......... our annual trip sales kick off!

Which leads me to....**SAVE THE DATE**, OSC Trip Sales Kick-off, August 17th, 2pm - 5pm, at the Dubsdread Golf Club. Are you getting excited???

Finally, mid-July, OSC will be announcing a new website. Do not worry! The www.orlandoskiclub.com link will still be good! This link will send you to the Club's new website. On this website, you will be able to do the following:

• Sign-up online for membership to the club, and pay by credit card or check,

• Register and pay online for year round non-ski activities (by credit card or check),

• Register and pay online for the two (2) FSC/OSC domestic ski-trips, and

• Find lots of other information.

Why only pay online for two (2) ski trips? It is just this little accounting thing...the Club needs to build up experience with this new website and payment system. The website will eventually evolve to include all OSC ski trips in future seasons.

Wow!! That was a lot of stuff to tell you about in this newsletter. I will end my first newsletter by simply wishing you many happy dreams of gently falling snow flakes and powdered slopes! ;-) See you all at the Winter Park Village Ale House on the 9th. Until then...
