IMPORTANT UPDATE
REGARDING UPCOMING TRAINING DAYS
Dear Options for Learning staff,

As we begin our transition to a four-day workweek, we would like to provide additional information and instructions regarding the upcoming training days that will begin this Friday, Dec. 1.

Training will be conducted virtually through Paylocity and completed asynchronously. Please note that the trainings are mandatory for all office staff. Office staff includes all leadership, managers, and supervisors. The training modules will be interactive and have been carefully curated to include content that will supplement your learning and assessments to ensure you acquire the necessary skills to integrate into your everyday tasks. The first training is scheduled for this Friday, Dec. 1; training will be held every other Friday through June 2024.

In preparation for our first training this Friday, please review the tentative training schedule, instructions on how to access training on Paylocity, and the training day FAQs outlined below. We hope you find these resources beneficial as we begin our transition to a four-day workweek. Please visit the Training and Professional Development Department webpage in the employee portal for additional information regarding upcoming trainings.

Training day FAQs

Trainings are asynchronous. All staff will have access to the training module on Friday morning. Trainings will typically be two to four hours long. The time staff access training will differ depending on department and coverage needs.

What do staff do after completing their training?

Managers and supervisors will decide what scheduling will look like for their team. Training modules are designed to be two to four hours long to allow time for planning for new efficiencies, meetings, or other tasks.

How do I submit a suggestion for a future training topic?

To submit a suggestion for a future training topic, visit the Training and Professional Development Department webpage on the employee portal and click the "Suggest a training topic" link.

What am I expected to do on training days?

On training days, each staff member will work independently on the training assigned that day. Each training module will be carefully curated to include interactive and engaging content, skill assessments, and additional resources to supplement learning. The remainder of the day will be spent working with your team as directed by your supervisor.

There are books, activities, and additional resources under "Training Content." Do those need to be completed to pass the course?
