Important Information for Burning River Participants...

We want to thank you for choosing to be a participant in the 14th Annual Burning River Endurance Runs & Relay. It has been a challenging year for all of us and we are looking forward to being able to put on this race and having you participate!

First, and foremost, we want to mention that having a footrace during the COVID-19 Pandemic will be done responsibly (in accordance with Ohio's ResponsibleRestartOhio program, with approval of our county health department, and approval of the permitting agencies). This will require you to take personal responsibility and to follow the COVID-19 Participant Compliance Addendum. We recognize and can respect that each of you has an opinion. Please also recognize that the majority of event management companies have been struggling to navigate/have a plan to remain viable. We want this footrace to serve as a model of how footraces can return and comply with public health orders. If you want the same, please respect our plan. Non-compliance will result in disqualification.

  • Bibs have been assigned - your bib number is: TBD.
  • Your starting time/corral will be sent to you 2-3 days prior to race day. Participants will start according to predicted finish time - fastest participants first. 100M and 50M participants will start between 4:00am-6:00am. Relay Teams will start at 7:00am. Back 50M will start at 6:30pm (unless running with a 100M participant). 
  • Race Dispatch number is (330) 548-1963. Participants and crew may contact us at this number during race weekend for urgent needs. Please email us at for non-urgent matters. Please store this contact information in your phone and your crew/pacer's phones.
  • Packet Pickup is from Saturday, August 15th through Friday, August 21st from Noon-8:00pm. You must complete the SYMPTOM ASSESSMENT AND WAIVER within 1 day prior to coming to packet pickup and bring a copy with you. This applies to PACERS too. Instructions are in the COVID-19 Participant Compliance Addendum.
  • Please do NOT wait until Friday, August 21st to come to packet pickup. We have limited capacity in the building and your wait time to enter will be significant if everyone waits until Friday!
  • Race merchandise is available to purchase from the Burning River Gear Store on our site. We have added new items recently. We truly appreciate your consideration. For best selection, order prior to packet pickup and we will have your order pulled/ready for you.
  • We highly encourage the use of RaceJoy. We offer this app for free. Your crew/pacer/next relay participant can use this information to assure they are in compliance with the COVID-19 Participant Compliance Addendum.
  • HiHo has brewed a special beer for the race called "LSD". Please consider stopping in before/after packet pickup.
